Video Game - Making on Paper Workshop
Hosts Clayton Windatt and Justin Logan
A video game or computer game is an electronic game that involves interaction with a user interface or input device - controller, keyboard to generate visual feedback from a display - television set or computer monitor. Creating video games requires the imagining of an entire programmed world. It takes creativity, talent and a lot of planning in order to fully realize a video game which is often not something that can be done alone.
Using only paper and pencils this workshop brings a group of participants through the creation of world building as the basis to a future video games. We will be working with narrative, character creation and storyline development that could be used in the future to create an arcade, console or computer game. Participants will be keeping their own creations at the end of the workshop.
